Doom 3 is an excellent game. Even though it has its moments, It really isnt THAT scary. But when you go to sleep at night (or day). Does anyone have nightmares about the effed up sh*t you see in it?

No! Since I indulge myself heavily into escapism on a regular basis,
my mind has less of a need to do so during it's resting hours.
My mind is more occupied by things I get a lack of, like sleep. *laughs*

I'm not sure if this is the same for everyone, but I dream more about things
that rarely or even never happens, or is a long time since they happen.
Than things related to escapism like movies or books or games.
I've seen so many zombies and monsters in games etc that my quota is filled
even without having seen more that 1 or two zombie movies over the last 2+ years.

The mind likes to explore possibilities or alternate realities,
or at times re-play reality or past events.
For me it is very rare (can't recall at all) to dream about games, books or movies.
That is natural dreams that is, it is however possible to force dreams.
But that is a fully different thing.

I'm more prone to daydreaming, and always have a hunger for some sort of escapism.
Be it movies, books, games, music (listening), programming, music (composing), writing...

I couldnt play it alone during the night (not shitting you) , and during the day i had all doors and windows wide open.

I was moving out of house which was impossiblly hard, and i hit a depression that knocked the wind out of me. Doom 3 had a lot to do with it, that game for me was fucking scary. I forced myself to finish the damn thing.
after that i put it away and never looked back. That game was 100% suprise attacks, very unnerving. By the last quarter of the game i got fed up and used the weapon cheats so i could use missile launcher, i was sick and tired of shit getting that close to me, period. i needed my space lol, and the game was still fucking hard.

to say the least, that game scarred my little mind lol.

If i got this game... (and i wont be, i dont need it) I would at the very least be scared almost shitless..... I remember in teh good ol days when I was at my buddy dave's house and he'd be playing Half-Life, and i was watching. And every time a zombie or whatever the hell was in that game (interdimensional aliens of some sort, right?) jumped out snarling to attack him, i'd scream "HOly @#%ing crap! AAhHHH!!!!!!" and he'd be like WTF! and try and keep himself from being killed..... :P *sigh* the good ol days....
