10 Bands/Albums Every DJ Should Have - What are yours?

Postby FoxyJama » Sat Mar 26, 2005 2:59 am

Trying to broaden my horizons a bit, since there are some genres of music sorely lacking in my collection. So I'd love to hear what you think are 10 songs/bands/albums every DJ should have.

Mine are:

1) Jimi Hendrix
2) George Clinton and the PFunk
3) My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult
4) Bob Marley
5) KMFDM
6) Beatles
7) Johnny Cash
8) AC/DC
9) Tom Petty
10) Steve Miller

Yeah, so I'm a genre-hopper. I defy labels!

Pearl Jam
Nirvana
Nine Inch Nails
Tool
Metallica
Iced Earth
Bob Dylan
The Beatles
Led Zeppelin
The Who

This is more of a 'my favorite bands' list than a 'every dj should have' list.
