WTF!? You guys haven't seen that yet?
It's been out for over a year... :?
It's absolutely beautifully filmed! It's a work of art, seriously is! The scenes in it are stunning to say the least, but you have to appreciate scenography to like it... It's NOT as action packed as people think, it's rather more artistic... But watch it!

I had never heard about this either, and I've certainly never seen even so much as a poster of it anywhere. But it's apparently a limited release for this august. Despite how incredibly SWEET this movie looks, I'm betting it's not going to hit a lot of theaters.

Which is to be expected, since the majority of the american populace don't actually appreciate well-produced films, especially if they're foreign.

And what's with Quentin Tarantino's name on it? He had NOTHING to do with the making of this film.

It's been out on the asian market for well over a year (nearly two?), and it still hasn't seen the light of day in america, and STILL it's one of the top contemporary films on the market even though it doesn't "exist" in the U.S.

This is one of the reasons I hate american media companies. Mirimax = Idiots.

Arh, probably why... Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was what came before this one... And it made a rather big impact in europe, so I guess that's why we get it before you guys (for once!)

It was also rather artisticly made, but no where NEAR as good as this...
There is a scene I'm particularly fond of, a gambling house, outdoor. It's dripping after rain... The scenography is amazing... Just looks so good!

I can heavilly recommend it!

Thanks to the International Film Festival that hit my local turf, and I saw it (subbed) about 2 months ago. ^_^ It may not currently exist in the US persay, but it's well on its way.

Awesomeness...

Looks like it might only be a favorable movie for me to watch when it comes out on DVD :( Cursid living location!

Sometimes I wish I could go all kung fuey and float in the air pretending to run while holding a sword at strange thrusting angles.

Hmm Hero? I've never seen the film, but now I feel like I've missed something big.
Never been a fan of Jet Li, but he suits this role. :P

Of course it is... It's like Taxi... It wasn't made for europe/USA, it was made for THEM... We can watch it, but on theire terms... Personately, I don't mind them speeking Chinese... It'd ruin it if they tried speaking english. Like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Most of the atmosphere came from the language...

Kung Pow Enter the Fist was an awesome movie.

If you watched it, you might recall the scene where a cow is in combat with the main character.

I have run into that cow in the past. I tipped it. I tipped that cow every day man, and it decided that it got tired of my tipping and decided to learn martial arts. The benefit, besides for kicking my butt and ending the tipping, was that the cow became a stunt action star.

So the moral of the story is, don't cook your goose until you have some glaze to put on it, or go to Lee's and get some chicken instead.
