Sorry I'm late (as always) But I'm gonna just pop back on topic for a sec, again, I do appologise
I fully understand what you all mean when you say the spamming sucks, and I agree (Even though I cause it alot)
I find it a little annoying when 10 threads are started that all have som'n to do with each other, but insted of continuing, a new one is added each time.
I'm absolutely thrilled about the Kiwi thread, as it is without a doubt, the fastest growing thread while I've been on this forum. And as such, it's great cus it let's peeps write som'n silly, and yet they don't bother the other forum goers.
The RPG forum should have one of those.
Me and Tacs started an RP fight story or two, and we probably could have rolled them into one, as to avoid unnecessary posts and spammage, but then, they were kinda diff. But still, the pic forum has a billion posts all called "Post here" or "a pic of me" and so on, these could have been planned better.

I'm sorry if I sound like I'm bitchin, as I am usually to find in the midst of all these things. But still, doesn't mean I'm not aware...

Erh, I think I lost track somewhere along all that... But still... More "Kiwi" threads for silly peeps, so the forums can remain spam free...

I'm going to play the devils advocate here. ^_^

In a general forum, you're gonna have a mixture of spam, and revelant topics. The mixture will be up to the people that pass through a forum. There's no equation for having total effitancy, or total chaos.

People can try to wrestle control by applying restraint, but that often shoo's people away. People don't like constraint.

No constraint however creates chaos and 50 people all scream "j00 suxxor" at one another in 20 different threads.

That aside, you have difference of opinion. Some people have posted topics that most would find revelant, but others would consider to be trash. My topic about gay/lesbian marriage rights seemed revelant to most, but at least one would have rather not laid his eyes on the thread. (likewise I posted a thread called "Bush Roxxors" cause of a joke spawned from the gay/lesbian marriage thread. It was funny for me at least, and those that could run with it, but ultimately spam.)

I for one don't have to much of an opinion of post counts. I don't pay attention to them, and don't care if they stay or go. It is annoying seeing lots of spam, but I also belive that there's a mixture based on [the forums] occupants.

Just 1 more mentioning I'll add to what has become the topic of this thread we hijacked

My biggest pet peeve is the posts that seem to have only 1 message which seems to be "I just read the previous post so I'm posting something to let the world know I just read it, but I don't have anything to say other than that" Is that explained clearly enough? Because I just wonder if those kinds of posts were obliterated, how many of you would lose like 200+ from your counts? Oh well... :?

Just saying that when you celebrate 1K postings it could mean so much more if 30% weren't a total waste of your and our time

touchy - is that what the guy in a missle silo get's after pulling 2 straight shifts and his 3rd pot of coffee?
