Id have to say Alabama or anywhere in that area. Nice people, but nover got over the civil war. Mostly because after they lost the north pillaged the southern villages for all they were worth, making it one of the poorest places in the country.

Actually, it wouldn't be Texas. Too many people acknowledge Texas to be a Big Money state. I fear it would be my commonwealth's sister-state, West Virginia that is the butt of American jokes.

Tho to be fair, I'd have to say that the urban sprawl has reached out and turned large parts of WV into nice, modern suburbs where people keep all their teeth and get a decent education.

Which leaves us with... ummm... the Soviet State of Kalifornia?

O but Bootay - where I come from is up North! Most any place down South is prey to our whims of insulting I gotta say. We may have favorites indeed, but most States like Mississppi or Alabama, or either Virginia or Carolina are prey to being insulted. Maybe as they say it stems from the Civil War, or just that folks who live down there can't speak English correctly for the most part(you wanna talk about accent or none -listen to the Network Newscasters, that's roughly the accent or lack thereof in the Midwest), though I don't wanna say we don't like the accents - just saying the thicker the accent the tougher it is to understand you.

OK I'm gonna be lynched now I reckon' :roll:

In the midwest, least in the chicago area, its Georgia, Alabama, etc that get the brunt of most jokes..

That whole Liberalism thing is som'n the rest of this dark aged country (Denmark) could seriously learn som'n from... Socialism my arse!
Sharing is great n' all... But I really don't see the fun in payin 56% tax, only to see drunks sitting around in the parks, cus the benifits they get for being socially inadept, are higher than any pay they'd get, so thay can't be bothered working!
Any country, where you get more out of it by not working, but just leeching of the collective, is based on the wrond ideals!

So on that behalf, I'd vote for the yanks anyday! Tho the patriotism is som'n I could do without... :wink:

well as far as my historical knowlege goes i think they had actually thought bout it, but they came to the conclusion, that wouldnt help at all.
