ok ok .. so the first marriage to Xelina was just for fun ..

But I just found out today that the player behind Fixerben not only quit AO.. but deleted his character .. I never even got to say goodbye!

I'm sorry.

I was under the assumption that he would have told you, but I found out about it the other day. Apparently he hit some sort of high-end drama with other people. I don't know the details, but it was very abrupt.

Oh Tris... I'm so sorry. *hugs* I know how it feels to have that happen. Bootay's first and only great love in the game disappeared just like that too. I only found out after the fact and by accident since NO one bothered to inform her.

Sure, we aren't REALLY involved with them, but a certain amount of residual affection and emotional investment goes into a RPed relationship. So it HURTS when someone ends it like that.

Hunny if you need a shoulder to cry on or someone to vent to, I'm here.

SaintBootay is quite right. While its not "Really" involved (You can't love them, or hold them, since its a game), you do gain a residual and emotional affection for them, if its truly rped well, almost as if you do love them.

I know the feelings, well....at least from seeing it with another. And my character (Myself, if you count the RP'ing) stood by her, always wanting to make her happy and so on.

And then she noticed as she waited for someone who won't return, Terenith (Me) was more than willing, but wanting, to love her more than the one who just left her behind was going to.

Xelina will find someone even better, who cares for her (Rp and perhaps even otherwise), and wants to be a shoulder for her to cry on, a helping hand, and love Xelina more than the dramatic and most likely cruel one that guy was. ^_^

That and all of GSP loves xalina and you. Hell, if there were enough fingers, we'd buy rings.

Often they'll do this...just leave without warning, to cause as much pain as possible. :evil:

It is a interesting note though. Such RP'ing, or plain fun, can reach such a level of emotional investiment and affection...sorta shows how grand, not bad, a game can be.

Had a friend (female) do a in-game marriage once, then they became more attached. Started talkin about meeting IRL. Were really getting serious, as far as online can go I guess. All seemed fine, then the dude vanished.

Come to find out later, from his fiance, that he was engaged IRL and basically I guess satisfying some sort of need by having an online thing going too. Instead of telling the friend, he made up some bullshit story and vanished. What a coward. Can't believe his fiance would stay with him, too. He basically wanted a fling, before the ring.

Anyway, that has nothing to do with your situation :wink:

I'm not really that upset about it.. It wasn't real.. we didn't know eachother in a RL sense and we hadn't really seen much of eachother in the past few months .. just something I found out about and decided to share.
