I used to do that with my coworker all the time, since we were separated by cubicle walls, we would ricochet rubber bands off the ceiling in an attempt to hit the other person. I was always way better than she was, though, it was very sad. 
To Valli, as far as being unsuccessful with dating, I think it's more a matter of me letting the worst luck reach me. There have been exceptions where I think the night went all right, but those were usually overshadowed by bad drama within days. I can't say that I'm an awful date, I just have a natural habit of doing two things: Missing important emotional cues, and dating women as insane as I am.
There are plenty of exceptions to either, but rarely to both.
