What is Marriage

Postby Jugsmalone » Fri Sep 28, 2007 6:38 pm

Well a good one is very hard work.....so ask yourself are you prepared for the ups and downs the good and the bad.... the get out of my face and the I love you so much..are you prepared for the changes as you age gain weight turn gray and get flabby.. Yep well that is married life.

I wonder at times what makes some people marry...I feel a lot of times it is just sexual attraction, or an accident of an unwanted or unplanned child...

I for one am not dissing marriage I was one of the lucky ones I had a very very enjoyable union ... and that is exactly what it is ... it is a union that can thrive or be demolished in a instant..

This is on my mind a lot because of my daughter now 36, that thinks something is definitely wrong with her because she has not found someone to share her life with.. There is nothing at all wrong with her she is loving kind smart and in my eyes her beauty surpasses all others and it shines inside her... She is not as believing and feels she is just the opposite even to the point of attempting to end it at one point when she fell in love and was very very young to a person who adored her but was not physically attracted to her.... She has long gotten over that episode in her life and moved on to believing that she can make it on her own if she has too.. a brave and scary position to take but a wise one..

I believe when the right person comes along all will be right and Love real Love will prevail... I wish this for every single person reading this post... Real Love is not that flutter you feel when you are around maybe it starts out like that maybe it starts as just friendship... but that love changes as time goes on ... It turns into despair and sometimes even feeling of hatred for one another but in the recesses of your mind a feeling of dread that you may lose that person ... happiness is not always getting your way or having the last word .... it is achievement and survival ... it is beating the elements that life tosses at you and having someone to share and laugh and cry with... to have someone that discuses and not judges you someone who does not abuse you mentally or physically but embraces you with all your faults and that is what make a lasting and fulfilling relationship....

For sure life with Two incomes makes it much easier to make your dreams come true but if those dreams are not shared equally it can be a means of destruction....

Do not rush in because you feel you are getting older or you think it is what is expected... get to know each other to learn that you wont change him or her but you can live with them peacefully and glow in the life you share together..
