Stuff like this rarely, if ever, happens to me...not only do I know the guy well, but I work(ed) with him alot and sat next to him for the entirety of last tax season...we worked together on a lot of projects very closely...I learned a hell of a lot from him. I'm just in one of those "wow" states right now.

CARIBOU - A Caribou man was arrested Sunday after allegedly assaulting his wife with a nail gun.
Caribou police Officer John Devoe said Monday that Mark Howell, 49, was arrested and charged with elevated aggravated assault and reckless conduct after the incident unfolded at the couple’s residence shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday.
Howell and the victim were involved in a domestic dispute, and Howell allegedly discharged the nail gun during the incident.
A nail went into the victim’s back, and she was taken to the hospital to have it removed, according to Devoe.
Howell was originally charged with the felony count of aggravated assault and reckless conduct, a misdemeanor, and taken to the Aroostook County Jail. The charge of aggravated assault later was elevated to the more serious charge of elevated aggravated assault, which is a Class A crime. If convicted of the Class A felony, Howell could face more than 10 years in prison.
Howell’s bail was set at $1,500 cash or $15,000 single surety on Monday. He is to have no contact with the accuser.
Officer Douglas Bell is the primary investigator on the case.
