Now why couldn't FC have gotten this license. They would of done it right.

I've been a fan of Shadowrun since the 1st ed rpg. It was a clonky system and the 3rd ed and etc improved it amazingly. This isn't the first Computer game based on SR to hit the shelves. Nobody quite does it right though. IMHO no computer company has quite gotten the cyber-fantasy spirit magic centrique idea that is Shadowrun. FC having experianced AO which has close thematic elements would likely understand and do it right.

Now if only it was a MMORPG that actually stressed the RPG rather than the hunt it kill it. Drag bits home to make bigger bits aspect, rather than a FPS

In any case looks disapointing dispite the historic attempt to put PC players and Console players on the same playing field.

from what ive heard and read that game is a flop. There arent even animations for when the characters climb ladders. Its basiclly Counterstrike with some magic.

What do you expect?

FASA Went bankrupt and Microsoft bought intellectual property rights to all the good games so they could ruin them in an attempt to squeeze cash out of everything they can until all things in this world are simply dried out husks of their former glory with a Microsoft logo on them. I'm surprised they haven't rewritten the back story so they didn't go broke in the matrix crash. Ooh, and how about that Microsoft brand SoyKaf, when can we expect to see this new item?

 I've played ShadowRun since 2nd edition PnP came out, and I still play the Genesis game from time to time, but I think I've seen the last of ShadowRun unless I can find some old books and a local campaign.

And don't you just love the Microsoft "feature" that requires you to own Vista or a 360 to play their games and locks out anyone using a decent system? not that anyone will listen, but I still say boycott the bastards before we get a real life Omni-Tek, might help game designers to get off their backsides and design some cross-platform games if people stopped buying the new ones for windows.

Sorry, Microsoft just makes me mad.

Well thats an interesting take but it's essentially wrong.

FASA had deals with MS a long time before it went belly up. It went belly up because the owner looted and pillaged the company into bankrupcy. MS had the rights to make and computer games based on FASA's intelectual properties in perpetuity before the bankrupcy. Which is why Crimson Skies, Mechwarrior and Shadowrun cpu games are all MS products.

Wizkids was formed by Fasa's owners son to save the PnP side of the intellectual properties that Fasa owned. By all accounts Wizkids paid a small fortune to buy out Fasa then discovered that there really wasn't anything left except a pile of debts and bad credit. Wizkids concentrated on card and board games and made a sub-divison Fanpro to revise and reissue the PnP rpg's. Thus you have Classic Battletech, and Shadowrun both with new releases and product.

I wish they'd do a new version of the other games. Legionaire & etc and Crimson skies. I am particularly wanting a new Crimson Skies pnp. I love 1930's pulp fiction and fantasy aircraft.
