Apparently theres a Star Wars TV series in the works. Be afraid. Be very afraid. No indication what era it'll be set in or any details except that there will supposedly be a series.

I can only hope that Lucas doesn't...

A: Write the pilot script. (George use the script writers George. George, at least get someone who understands women to write dialog George.)

B: Direct the pilot. (George you have a feel for movies. At least the dramatic moments if not dialog. But your every TV effort has sucked hard. Ewok adventure anyone. ??? Hrmm was that actually even George? No he didn't but he co-wrote it and the sequel. Hrmm I still blame you George.)

C: Avoid cute furry little people. Avoid Jar Jar Binks or any of his species. Avoid writing it for 12 year olds. avoid actually any involvement in a franchise thats become bigger than your original concept.

And maybe just maybe it won't suck monkey balls like the last 3 Star Wars movies did. I should probablt say 5 but my brain attempts to escape if I think about the Ewok Adventure or it's sequal the Battle for Endor.
Just a lil Fishi3... Glub, Glub.

Lucas will be definably a executive producer and executive director.

Whether he will direct I got no idea. If he'll write the screenplay? Probably not, the rough story script/board? Most likely.

I seem to recall 2 or 3 story arcs being mentioned.

The TV series will be 100 episodes total. (no idea how many seasons that will be spread across) So there will hopefully be a high consistency that is rare in other series. (I'm guessing the plot is planned over all 100 eps beforehand)

The action will take place in the time between the old and new trilogy.
In other words between Episode 3 "Revenge of the Sith" and Episode 4 "A New Hope"

No major characters from the movies will be featured.
But do not be surprised if the Emperor and especially Darth Vader make guest appearances. (I'm guessing James Earl Jones will voice Darth Vader once again, if not then a soundalike obviously)

The character focus will be on lesser characters. (I'm hoping to see some Boba Fett but not so likely, guest appearances probably)

In related news (for those that want more Darth Vader stuff)
The Force Unleashed for the current next gen systems (and PC I hope later) will let you play as the secret apprentice of Darth Vader.
It takes place between eps 3 and 4 as well, and let you truly lash out, throw storm troopers through walls etc.
The word is that when Lucas saw a tech demo he said "Make it",
apparently he liked seeing the force unleashed beyond what the Jedi showed in any of the movies.

Myself I'm geeked, after Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic (KOTOR) and KOTOR: The Sith Lords, and the Jedi Knight games I've been itching for something new. And this time with The Force Unleashed you get to be "evil" wohoo :P

So unless Lucas manages to screw up the TV series, this could become the second golden age of Star Wars. (the first being in the time when the original trilogy was being made, I don't consider the new trilogy more than a silver age :P)

Signatures can be confusing. I have spent half the day wondering how a punk milks a cow...

You've got to RAWK the mutha with such force that it hurts someone! Not the cow, cause that's cruel. ;) Kinda like cow moshing... with milk.
