time for some early spring cleaning in news section?

Don't want to be a party pooper, but...

Just visited the "News" section of the forums, and was surprised that there are still threads dating back to 2003 that's still stickied - just like all threads in that forum..

Is this collection of necroed threads intended for archive purposes, or just being forgotten??

The stickiness is used to prompt placement of the news information on the website, also. (I think) As for it needing some cleaning in there...who likes to clean? Cleaning sucks. I hate cleaning.

Of course, that's also Xtrophic's area. Xtrophic is God Of All That Is Forums And Website. I don't think Gods like to clean either.

Reading it in the forums, it looks like a collection of stickies, yes. But yes, it's done so that they appear on the front page in the order that they were originally posted. In that way, the News forum is more just a tool for us to post (and people to respond if they desire), and the archive can be scrolled through at will.

And hey, it's kinda cool to look all the way back to '03 and see what things were like then.
