This sounded like fun so I wanted to join in a bit

Do You Hear What I Hear?

Said the party ARK to the GSP DJ,
"Do you see what I see? Do you see what i see?
Across the glass dance floor, GSP DJ,
Do you see what I see? Do you see what i see?
A dancer, a dancer, dancing across the floor
With a bum just shaking all around,
With a bum just shaking all around."

Said the GSP Dancer to the listener there
"Do you hear what I hear? Do you hear what I hear?
Ringing through the speakers, listener there,
Do you hear what I hear? Do you hear what I hear?
A tune, a tune playing threw the nigh
With a DJ who drinks like a fish
With a DJ who drinks like a fish ."

Said the fateful Fans to the GSP Dancer,
"Do you know what I know? Do you know what I know?
In the fireplace room, GSP Dancer,
Do you know what I know? Do you know what I know?
A body, a body, moves to the beat--
You will bring us muffins and hugs,
You will bring us muffins and hugs."

Said the DJ to the people everywhere,
"Listen to what I say! Listen to what I say!
Request for songs, people, everywhere,
Listen to what I say! Listen to what I say!
A Song, A Song Playing on the air
That will bring us together for laughs,
That will bring us together for laughs.”

It's THE Christmas song (at least in the UK - Slade, you US people?)... so it had to be done...
(I kept as close as I could to the original verses)

---------------

It's Griiiiiiidbooooot!

Are you hanging up a leet doll on your wall?
Are you wondering if Meen levels at all?
Is Narcotic really guilty?
Will she name you when she plays?
Will Lykeios just stream Hasselhoff all day?

So here it is GSP-tmas
Everybody's having fun
Lots more DJs on tonight
It's only just begun

Is Veld waiting for the Bigbird to arrive?
Will he faceplant or drink rum shots and survive?
Does Chaimera always tell you
That face-ripping is the best?
Then he's sitting down to emo with the rest?

So here it is GSP-mas
Everybody's having fun
Parties and ninja sets
It's only just begun

What will your Valli do
When she waves her hands and lights your muffin up?
Ahaaaa ah

Did you send gridbot the contest word /tell h00t!?
Are you hoping to win lots of that phat lewt?
Did you laugh at Tarryks new boobs,
Try to grab them at his show?
He lands fists of Epicine, and you've been pwned

So here it is GSP-tmas
Everybody's having fun
Lots more DJs on tonight
It's only just begun

So here it is GSP-tmas
Everybody's having fun
Parties and ninja sets
It's only just begun

So here it is merry Christmas
Everybody's having fun
Even ARKs boogie down
It's only just begun

So here it is GSP-tmas
Everybody's having fun
Rubi-ka's number one
It's only just begun

------

(Sorry to those that didn't get mentioned... which includes a lot of the female DJs... just means you'r not as laughable as the boys!* **

*If you are female, this means boys are naturally stoopid

** If you are male, this means boys are natural comedians

Oh and to those that ~were~ mentioned - I'm not sorry at all

(covers butt and leaves quietly...)

EDIT

For Valli who was kind enough to point out I never actually named it!, and those that don't know the song, it's Slade's "Merry Christmas everybody" - this one - missing off this recording is the classic cry of "Iiiiiiiiiittttttttt's Chrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssstmaaaaassss!" that usually presedes office parties all over the country ;)[/b]

I have another one half completed - I really want to be able to do a version of Fairytale of New York, but that's daunting...

Look at those Lamb Chops!!! I've never heard that song before haha. It sounds nothing like a christmas for me, but I'm sure when you guys hear it, you instantly think of christmas hehe. Funny how that is ;).

Good Job btw!

Hehe I was trying too, but somehow it seems perfect as it is to me.

"Happy Christmas your arse, I pray God its our last!"

Classic.

Maybe if it was framed as a duet between OT and clans.

Ok, my attempt (sung to the tune of The Christmas Song):

Vallimuffins roasting on an open fire,
Jugsmalone nibbles goodness knows
GSP DJ's doing events for hire
and Troxes wear thongs at every show.

Everybody knows a santa leet and some mistletoe,
Help to make the season bright.
GSP Dancers with their bodies all aglow,
Will by wigglin' their butts all night

They know the GSP DJ's play the tracks;
They've loaded lots of credz and phat l00t in their packs.
And every Froobie Noob is gonna spy,
To see if ARKs really know how to fly

And so I'm offering this simple phrase,
Whether your level is 1 or 2-0-2,
Although its been said many times, many ways,
Merry Christmas to you!

Jugs, you rock so much :)

nah nothing broke... you have to read carefully. 10 were drunk, the others were simply passed out and didn't make it to the casting call.

P.S. Fishi... WHAT THE HELL IS THE NAME OF THE ORIGINAL? you posted a parody but I'll be damned if I can't remember what it is from... my favorite carol btw. #2 is little drummer boy. (as much as I dislike the christmas season... there are just some things too beautiful to dislike ;)

The original is titled "Carol of the Bells" by Leontovych. Currently its most popular form appears to be the variation performed by the Trans Siberian Orchestra.

Oops.

Postby Fishi3 » Thu Jan 04, 2007 4:33 pm

Sorry about that. The original is definately Carol of the Bells which is one of my all time favorite carols. It's a favorite of just about every choral group I've ever heard so there are alot of versions of it recorded.

I had the link to the sight of the group that did Carol of the Old ones but seem to have lost it. It had the Lyrics written out.
