i'm seeing extremes to both ends ... people whining wayyyyy to much, and people that are complete fanbois where funcom can do no wrong. (and both are equally annoying and should not post at all on the forums spamming up legit feedback)
In my opinion people who waited out were the smartest. To do the two major additions for LE content you don't even need LE (alien missions and battlestations).
$30 bucks got you a personal mech that needs to be researched for (no biggie IMO), and Research lines (although AWESOME in concept, the execution and way they are currently behaving on Live Dim is something to be skeptical over).
For Lost Eden as an Expansion Pack I give it a 6/10 - Lots of potential, but lacking on many ends.
Conceptual Ideas: 8/10 (excluding the "brilliant" devs in charge of MP's)
Execution of said Ideas: 4/10.
I understand the push to get the product out the door before christmas and before the release of Burning Crusades ... but once again it appears as if an incomplete product was rushed to market. Not to say I don't have faith they can fix the bugs in a timely manner, which would be nice, but I'm also not holding my breath with it. I've loved the game too much to be just let down again, so this time around i'm taking an apathetic approach and just swtich games when I get too frustrated with being let down on what I think AO could be in an ideal world.
If Lost Eden was marketed at a Booster Pack (which it kinda is) and prices for about half ($15-$20), I'm sure people would still be unhappy, but at least product kinda equalled the value spend. Right now ... not so much.
