Firefly MMO? :o

Three things stand out to me about the article though that continue to bother me and force me to be the saddened skeptic:

1. This is Fox's license of Firefly, not Universal's (show vs movie)
2. No comment at all from Joss Whedon. It reads more like a 20th Century Fox/Multiverse press release (which it is) than an investigative article.
3. Fox is willing to license Firefly as a game but not a show?

Anyway, I'll remain skeptical with hope rather than hopeful with fear. They might make something great, but the above does not fill me with expectation.

it will probably be a miricle if it even makes it through half of the coming year before getting pushed aside for some other shiny thing, it might really come out but who knows

i cant wait for the Fallout game to come out sometime this decade, if Bethesdasoft pulls it off that is

As far as I know, it's Interplay that will develope this. Just HOW they will get the money to do so (they filed for bankrupcy-protection a while ago) is beyond me. Estimates from them puts them at about 75 to 80mill USD for the whole track, and for the game to start making money 2 years after launch. Ambitious, for sure.

That being said, I would definately try it.
