Audio/Visual Programs

Postby Firia » Wed Oct 11, 2006 1:50 am

So, I've got some ideas I wanna toy with, but first I need the tools to do it. ^_^

I basicly want to create still animation and be able to impose sounds with a preassembled library of sounds (and the option to insert my own). The problem is I don't know what to look for, so I'm going to communities to see if anyone else might know. ^_^ I'm hoping some of the GSP geeks are in the know. :P

For a while I was thinking that I just wanted a library of sounds and a program to work with them, but I that idea didn't even have a means of merging visuals into it.

(Ideally I want sounds prominant in animes. I will work with my own visuals.)

Any thoughts? :)

Demux a couple of anime shows or films and cut out the sounds you want from those, or do a general torrent search for such packs. Drawing would probably be best executed with flash. If you want stop-motion animation then you would need a camera to capture your frames and a good tripod. Like Chaimera said PS and Audition are two decent tools to edit both sound and images. You might want to try out some video editing programs too if you are not goint with the Flash solution.

Demuxing is done in virtualdub or nandub.

I can't believe I never thought of that. There goes another few gigs of workspace next week.

Hmm...good thing I just tossed in another 160gb disk in my computer last night, then :D Definately going to check this out, as I have quite a few vids and such to snag sound from.
